• Specialist emphasizes the importance of developing real estate endowments and achieving sustainability standards to improve lifestyle

    On Wednesday, March 6, 2019, Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Awqaf Committee, organized a workshop entitled, "Development of real estate endowments," which was managed by a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber and Vice Chairman of the Endowment Committee Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Hammad.

     

    A real estate specialist stressed the importance of introducing updates to the real estate sector through high quality and sustainable designs that work to create residential products that reduce costs in construction and maintenance and provide a high-level product in construction.

     

    A specialist in engineering consultancy, Eng. Mathkar bin Daghash Al-Qahtani, said that there are a number of important procedural steps and practical work to achieve sustainability in the implementation of projects endowments and contribute to the establishment of endowments of high engineering quality.

    He pointed out that the Kingdom is witnessing the launch of many programs within its Vision 2030 in order to achieve high-quality housing by monitoring building phases, minimizing potential risks, and achieving sustainable building standards to improve lifestyle.

    Al-Qahtani said during the meeting, which was attended by a number of committee members, that the real estate endowment sector is witnessing an improvement in the geometric form and the building plans.

    He stressed the need to work on the dissemination of this culture for the development of all charitable projects for the endowments, which reflects the importance of care to implement the housing with modern specifications that do not require a high budget in the implementation and ensure a healthy life and ideal for residents.

     

    Al-Qahtani emphasized that one of the most important building conditions after the quality of life procedures is to achieve the goal and requirements and follow the procedures known when building as well as the use of materials and devices approved to ensure the correct result.

    He pointed out that a number of buildings of the Awqaf sector with old designs that do not fit with the civilized form of modern cities and their designers overlook the importance of the shape of the facade of the building and finishing processes, as some even overlook the implementation of civil defense requirements and take into account climate and environmental change.

     

    Al-Qatani concluded the workshop by talking about financial waste when building the project by saying that many projects are accompanied by waste of money if not reviewed designs, as some designs are entered by some errors, which can be a problem after the end of the project and cost the owners of large sums of money when building, and weakness when correcting those errors.

    Hence, the designs must be reviewed by specialists and consultants to develop the work commensurate with the approved budget and the form of civilization and population expansion.

     

    In conclusion, the member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber and Vice Chairman of the Endowment Committee Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Hammad honored the speaker in the workshop that is specialized in engineering consultancy, Eng. Mzher bin Daghash Al–Qahtani, with

     a commemorative plaque.
